Welcome to the International Insight Meditation Center (IIMC) in Redmond, Oregon
The International Insight Meditation Center (IIMC) is a non-sectarian Buddhist meditation center dedicated to the study and
practice of the Buddha’s teachings. Established in 2015, the center provides a space for both monastics and lay practitioners to
engage in meditation, Dhamma study, and community practice.
IIMC offers monthly in-person practice sessions at the Redmond temple as well as regular online
meditation gatherings. The Saturday online group provides insightful Dhamma talks and in-depth study of
the Buddha’s teachings as found in the Suttas.
Whether new to meditation or an experienced practitioner, all are welcome to practice online or in
person. The center’s mission is to make the profound simplicity of meditation accessible to all.
Community Practice Every Sunday
Each Sunday at 1:00 pm, we come together as a community to share in meditation
and the spirit of the Dhamma. Our afternoon includes walking meditation, sitting
meditation, and the practice of mettā (loving-kindness), creating a gentle rhythm
that supports both inner stillness and heartfelt connection. Practicing side by side,
we strengthen not only our own mindfulness but also our community. Everyone is
warmly welcome, whether you are new to meditation or an experienced practitioner.

the pace of daily life. Peace Weekend at IIMC Redmond offers a quiet, supportive space to
slow down, steady the mind, and cultivate peace. No prior experience is required.
Peace Weekends are held monthly on the third weekend of the month and are open to
both beginners and experienced practitioners.
BIG NEWS - Announcing Sangha Central - A New Way to Connect
For years, keeping our little Sangha connected has been a challenge. Between organizing
events, leading practice, and sharing announcements, there hasn't always been enough time
to keep everyone informed. Social media and other online tools often add more
complications, advertising, and distractions than we need.
**So we created Sangha Central—our own little app for the Sangha!**
Sangha Central brings everything together in one convenient place. You can see upcoming
events, register for retreats, join online practice sessions, explore teachings and resources,
and stay informed about what's happening at IIMC.
**No Facebook, social media accounts, or app downloads are required.** Sangha Central
works right here on our website or directly from your phone.
If your phone offers to **add Sangha Central to your home screen or enable notifications**,
please consider doing so. Unlike the usual flood of unwanted alerts, our notifications are
intended only for useful community updates, such as new events, schedule changes, or
weather cancellations. No advertising, no spam—just a simple way to stay connected while
respecting everyone's privacy.
This is just the beginning! More teachings, study materials, and resources will be added as
Sangha Central grows.
Help Get the Temple Ready for Kathina - October 17
Come as you can and join us for a day of Work Practice as we care for our temple
together and prepare for Kathina. We’ll be cleaning the temple grounds, tidying and
preparing the Sala, and taking care of the many small things that help make this special
celebration possible. There is something for everyone to do, and you are welcome to
come for the whole day or simply help for a while. Many hands make light work—and
lunch will be provided!
